Back in 1999 and 2000 these were so many startups and companies trying to build a future on the internet that stuff was free!!  "The startup strategy was usually pretty simple: Get an idea (alfa product), build a following by providing a free (beta product) service, and then once you had enough users make them customers by selling the full version after all the bugs were worked out."  Then there were the home programmers who just wanted to create. Hummmm. What happened to them....  The internet is a fluid things and as computers and technology evolve so will it.  I think the trick is to learn from the past and apply it to the future.

Internet and video game entertainment is now an established industry but  back on the 70's companies like ATARI and Amiga were already using existing business models to help  entrepreneur what quickly became a paradigm shift. The following selection of downloadable programs are a sample of my collection after years of browsing the internet. 

Unfortunately as the internet grew and changed many files are no longer publicly available. The following were all PUBLIC DOMAIN at one time. This page is a time capsule and dedication to the history of the internet.  

The sites and companies that developed many of these files no longer exist and technical support is often not available.  If the companies are still around I am sure you will be able to find the most current version on their site.  These are simply my favorite evolutions of the programs. Please download these files at your own risk.
